Milwaukee/Madison High Speed RailLocation: Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin The project consisted of supplying highly detailed surveying services for 17.6 miles of the Milwaukee/Madison High Speed Rail project in 2001. Our work entailed establishing horizontal and vertical control, based on State Plane NAD 83-91 datum, using GPS on 90 Section and Quarter Section corners within the limits of the project. In addition to cross sections of the railroad right-of-way, we provided hydrographic field surveys for 6 stream crossings that included stream cross-sections, upstream and downstream structure sections and existing bridge measurements. We delineated the above and below ground utility installations falling within and crossing the railroad corridor. The resultant information was provided to the HNTB Corporation for their use as engineers for the High Speed Rail project.
