JSD is excited to be part of the project team for the new Summit Credit Union Headquarters in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin. Construction will start in November on the new headquarters - the largest Madison credit union. Summit is moving their base of operations to this 11-acre site along Interstate 94 in Cottage Grove about nine miles southeast of its current headquarters at 4800 American Parkway.
It will be a six-story, 152,000 square-foot building at 1709 Landmark Drive, with an 88-space underground parking ramp and a surface lot with 435 stalls. The new building will consolidate administrative staff and include a full-service credit union branch, corporate offices, and amenities for employees such as an exercise and meditation room, sand volleyball court, cafeteria, and walking/biking path.
JSD provided surveying services including topographic and utility mapping and boundary delineation for the proposed property. JSD provided engineering for the commercial development site including a demolition plan, with remediation of a former construction landfill and consolidation of parcels; detailed grading & erosion control plans; a comprehensive stormwater management plan; utility plan, and site construction details.
JSD’s landscape architects also worked closely with project consultants to prepare a landscape plan that met the unique native prairie vision of the architect, the owner’s intent, as well as Village requirements. In addition to the landscape plan, the architect requested 3-dimensional renderings and plant pallets prepared by JSD that provided a visual representation of the built site integrating architecture, site details, topography, and landscape design. These renderings were provided for presentation to the owners and Village of Cottage Grove to further illustrate design goals and intent within the overall site development process.
