JSD is an award-winning multi-disciplinary consulting firm headquartered in the Madison, WI area. We currently employ 75 talented staff across multiple offices which includes surveyors, civil engineers, landscape architects, planners and support staff. JSD provides complete professional planning, design and construction services to developers within commercial, residential, retail, industrial, institutional (educational, healthcare, religious, government) and recreational markets.

JSD is currently seeking a professional Marketing and Communication Specialist to facilitate our firm’s marketing operations by working closely with key staff to develop, implement and maintain JSD branding.

The successful candidate will utilize marketing expertise and design skills to develop graphic materials in multiple medias that showcase and promote JSD Professional Services (JSD). Experience in the architecture, engineering and construction industry is a plus. The candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills; the imagination to visualize the final marketing product based on experience, written or spoken directions; and the ambition to always pursue the latest trends and tools in the industry to create the best possible product to fit the needs of JSD and their clients.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

DIGITAL MARKETING AND WEBSITE MANAGEMENT:

  • - Development and maintenance of a new website to showcase JSD brand (externally & internally)
  • - Develop and execute electronic marketing material and social media plans/campaigns
  • - Develop content for production of both print and electronic materials including brochures, literature, advertisements, and solicitations
  • - Design of advertisements and listings in magazines, newspapers, and industry media
  • - Design of conference exhibits/displays and booths
  • - Create trade show graphics
  • - Create and distribute email newsletter announcements
  • - Designing signage displays for projects
  • - Assist with monitoring websites and publications for incoming RFQs and RFPs
  • - Research external leads and opportunities as needed
  • - Presentation and Client interaction skills

 

MARKETING OPERATIONS:

  • - Standardized file structure, organization and procedures for firm’s graphic/marketing efforts.
  • - Manage internal and external communication methods.
  • - Participate in Business Development (BD) meetings when needed to facilitate strategies
  • - Preparation and participation in trade shows
  • - Research and identify trends and evaluate BD strategies to encourage innovation and increase revenue

 

PROPOSAL MANAGEMENT:

  • - Support and communicate with key staff for marketing efforts, including: proposals, project progress updates, completed project documentation/abstracts, and presentations
  • - Assist with RFQs and RFPs critically and creatively
  • - Manage and maintain in-house marketing material
  • - Coordinate submittals and graphics for industry awards

 

PHOTOGRAPHY:

  • - Document projects via photography
  • - Work with staff to document project progress

Requirements

 

Proficiency in social media strategy and website management (internally or externally) is required. Expertise in computer programs such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator) is essential. Working experience of html website design software (Wix, Wordpress, Dreamweaver, etc.) preferred. The ability to organize and manage multiple projects within a fast-paced environment with time management skills.

Education

 

Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years of experience in Marketing with graphic design experience, Communications, Fine Art Design, or related field is preferred.
