Uline Corporate Campus

ULINE acquired this 200-acre property, previously master planned as PrairieWood Corporate Park, and converted it into a single-user campus for their corporate headquarters. JSD worked with ULINE and the project architect to ensure the multi-phased project had an overall earthwork balance, adequate stormwater management facilities, and sufficient sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer services. Preliminary engineering plans were prepared to identify potential development issues beyond Phase I and for value engineering.

To accommodate ULINE’s campus layout, the stormwater management system, including four ponds and floodplain, had to be completely redesigned. The project required stormwater management and floodplain approvals from the Village of Pleasant Prairie, Town of Bristol, Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR), and Federal Emergency Management Agency. JSD prepared construction documents for the relocation of the floodplain and was contracted by the Village of Pleasant Prairie to provide bidding assistance, survey support, and as-built surveys.

After refinement of the site plan, JSD prepared Civil Design Plans for the first phase of the project. Services included preparation of grading, drainage and erosion control plans; site layout and paving plans; site utility plans; notes and details plan; earthwork estimates; specifications; and WDNR permitting. JSD was also selected by the Village of Pleasant Prairie to provide an extension of the existing public sanitary sewer, which included construction drawings, WDNR applications, and bidding assistance. JSD also provided construction administration services and construction staking for the project.
