Kettle Park West Development

Location: Stoughton, WI

Kettle Park West encompasses 220 acres of multiple land uses Including commercial, retail, professional office, hospitality, single and multi-family housing and a new city park. The first phase of the development is anchored by a 152,000 square foot Walmart Supercenter.

JSD supported the development through all phases of implementation with a full range of consulting services that included planning, surveying, traffic impact analysis, wetland disturbance permitting, stormwater analysis and civil engineering design. The improvements supporting the development include a stormwater management and pumping system to protect an existing closed watershed, major improvements to a US Highway and State Highway, and municipal utility and roadway improvements.

JSD guided the developer through the intricate entitlement process including planning approvals by the City of Stoughton and Capital Area Regional Planning Commission, land development approvals through the City and State, and individual Site Implementation Plan approvals through City, County and State agencies. JSD successfully coordinated construction of the development with two contractors, all local, County and State agencies and the public. The first lot occupant opened their facility in March 2017, ahead of schedule.
