Columbus Hospital Acute Care Facility

Location: Columbus, WI

Columbus Community Hospital was founded in 1907. Through the years Columbus Hospital has seen several renovations and additions. The hospital added a two story surgical center addition on the southwest side of the hospital, including a 25 bed acute care wing in the hospital. JSD provided professional engineering and construction administration services for the Acute Care Facility.

JSD worked with the Client to provide necessary support and submittal materials for the City of Columbus Site Plan application process. JSD prepared and provided preliminary construction plans based upon the concept Site Plan as provided by the Architect. JSD worked with the architect and the appropriate reviewing/approving agencies to identify design requirements, constraints, and conflicts specific to the proposed site. JSD provided a Final Site Layout Plan, Grading and Erosion Control Plan, Utility Plan, and Landscape Plan. Construction administration services included review of testing reports and contractor submittals, RFI clarifications, and Construction Bulletins. Onsite representation was provided for site visits and final inspection.

This project received the Associated General Contractors (AGC) BUILD Wisconsin Award. The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Wisconsin is the leading professional trade association for the commercial construction industry in Wisconsin. Project Cost: $15,200,000.
