Madison College (Madison Area Technical College MATC) Stormwater Survey & Plan for Madison College Truax Campus Master Plan

Location: Madison, Wisconsin

JSD provided professional surveying and engineering services for the Madison College Truax Campus. JSD provided a topographic survey of the existing stormwater management conveyance system throughout the campus. This included researching the public records to obtain copies of existing maps and records to include existing storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main, culverts, bridges, wetlands, navigable waterways, and floodplains within the campus. The survey includes a plan and profile of each of the hydraulic structures within the stormwater drainage system. JSD also provided Civil Engineering services for the campus. Civil Engineering Services included hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and water quality analysis for the existing conditions and proposed master plan for the campus. The hydrologic and hydraulic analysis included calculating peak runoff rates and volumes for the campus and surrounding watersheds, modeling of existing hydraulic structures, and identifying problematic areas for the existing conditions and for the proposed campus master plan. The Water Quality Analysis included modeling for nonpoint source pollutant loadings for the existing campus and for the proposed campus master plan. JSD used this information to provide a stormwater management programming report that included design criteria, baseline stormwater analysis, future stormwater analysis, alternatives, preliminary opinions of probable construction costs, recommendations, permitting processes, mapping, figures, exhibits and design calculations. Project Schedule: Ongoing Project Cost: $11,300,000 Work was performed for Madison College.
