Reddan Soccer Park Phase I, Multi-Field Reconstruction and Lighting Improvements

Location: Verona, Wisconsin

Reddan Soccer Park is a 60-acre facility belonging to the Madison Area Youth Soccer Association (MAYSA). On an annual basis, the facility hosts more than 1,000 games, 8 major tournaments with participants from across the Midwest, and over 175,000 visitors. Originally developed on a 40-acre parcel in 1997, the land is leased from Dane County Parks and was built through the collaborative efforts of both the financial and volunteer support of local businesses and individuals. The Reddan Soccer Park grew to its present size in 2002 when it leased an additional 20 acres from Dane County Parks.

JSD has provided master planning services and redevelopment plans in an effort to assist MAYSA in re-establishing Reddan Park as Wisconsin’s premier soccer complex. Designs completed by JSD include reconstruction of five of the full size soccer fields and new lighting for these fields as well as the synthetic turf Championship Field. Key features include a durable synthetic surface, irrigation system, seating, press box, scoreboards, trainer’s rooms, locker rooms, and restrooms. The new improvements will serve to improve the quality of the facility and fields, and increase overall park use.

JSD provided construction administration services for these improvements and worked on plans to reconstruct additional fields and provide design and construction documents for the synthetic turf Championship Field.
