Summit Credit Union Headquarters

Location: Cottage Grove, Wisconsin

The Summit Credit Union Headquarters in Cottage Grove, Wisconsin is the largest Madison credit union and is LEED certified. The six-story, 152,000 sf building is on 11 acres and has an 88-space underground parking ramp and a surface lot with 435 stalls. The new building will consolidate administrative staff and include a full-service credit union branch, corporate offices, and amenities for employees such as an exercise and meditation room, sand volleyball court, cafeteria, and walking/biking path.

JSD provided surveying services including topographic and utility mapping and boundary delineation for the proposed property. JSD provided engineering for the commercial development site including a demolition plan, with remediation of a former construction landfill and consolidation of parcels; detailed grading & erosion control plans; a comprehensive stormwater management plan; utility plan, and site construction details. This building is seeking LEED certification.

JSD’s landscape architects also worked closely with project consultants to prepare a landscape plan that met the unique native prairie vision of the architect, owner’s intent, as well as Village requirements. In addition to the landscape plan, the architect requested 3-dimensional renderings and plant pallets prepared by JSD that provided a visual representation of the built site integrating architecture, site details, topography, and landscape design. These renderings were provided for presentation to the owners and Village of Cottage Grove to further illustrate design goals and intent within the overall site development process.
